    Moreton-in-Marsh wayang

    On Friday June 16th, OGS performed a wayang with dhalang Dave McKenny, for a private function held on an old railway platform next to Moreton-in-Marsh station.

    Pitt-Rivers Museum wayang

    On Friday 17th May 2013, OGS with dhalang David McKenny put on a wayang performance in the Pitt-Rivers Museum.

    Sumatran Organgutan Society gig

    On Saturday 24th November 2012 OGS performed as part of a fund-raising “orange tie ball” for the Sumatran Orangutan Society.

    St John’s concert

    Performing with dancer Ni Made Pujawati, OGS performed in the Garden Quad Reception Room at St John’s, to an audience of over 80 people who relaxed and enjoyed themselves, helped by the plentiful wine.

    Wayang Lokananta – York Gathering of the Gamelans

    On April 28th Oxford Gamelan Society, augmented by players from Cheltenham and London, performed as part of an all-night wayang performance in York, directed by dhalang Matthew Isaac Cohen.

    Southeast Asian Studies symposium

    On Saturday 10th March, OGS performed with Ni Madé Pujawati for a Southeast Asian Studies symposium in St Antony’s College.


    Chris managed to borrow some punts from Hilda’s and Jude chipped in with her canoe, so the group got together and went up the Cherwell, where we picnicked on a meadow just below the weir.

    Durham concert
