OGS goes North

As part of a Gathering of Northern Gamelans festival, OGS went up to Durham and Gateshead for a weekend. Some of us made their own way there or back, but the larger part of the group travelled in a rented minibus, driven by Noel.

The group was hosted by members of the Durham gamelan, who managed to find enough beds for some sixteen of us and looked after us royally, starting with a fantastic feast on the Friday night.

On the Saturday OGS joined members from Durham, Gateshead and other northern groups in a klenengan in the Sage Gateshead.

And then on the Sunday the Durham and Oxford groups put on a joint concert in Durham.
